WINE

Our wines come from organic viticulture practised since 1989 in the heart of the Chianti Classico. Sangiovese, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc: every label tells the story of the Casavecchia alla Piazza estate and its hills.

Other Red Wines

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Rosso Toscana

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Produced with grapes from the youngest of our vineyards, as well as from those areas of our established vineyards which are generally more fertile, resulting in abundant productions. Sangiovese is by far the main grape variety, but there are sometimes also small percentages of Canaiolo, Syrah and Merlot.

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Campo ai Ciliegi

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Campo ai Ciliegi is named after a small Syrah vineyard planted in 1992, framed by numerous wild cherry trees along its upper and side borders.

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Buontempo

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Buontempo revives the old Chianti recipe, with 70% red grapes (Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino) and 30% white grapes (Trebbiano and Malvasia).

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Rosso di Piazza

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Produced from the youngest Sangiovese vines planted on the north-facing hillside, this is a very fruit-forward and highly drinkable wine.

Cabernet Franc Tuscany i.g.t.

Cabernet Franc Tuscany

Cabernet Franc Tuscany i.g.t.

A few rows of Cabernet Franc planted in 1999 on a stony ground exposed to the East yield this very small production of ours. While still sporting all of the characteristics of the original vine variety, it faithfully expresses the peculiarities of our territory.

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Lemme Lemme

Toscana Rosso i.g.t.

Produced from old maple-trained vines, planted between the 1930s and the 1950s, that managed to survive cultivar specialisation thanks to their location, in proximity to rural roads or near ancient buildings.

Whites and Rosés

Bianco Toscana i.g.t.

Bianco alla Marta

Bianco Toscana i.g.t.

Our white wine “à la Marta” comes from a happy idea of our daughter Marta, who suggested that the small quantities of Trebbiano Toscano found in our oldest vineyard could have been fermented on the skins.

Rosato Toscana i.g.t.

Rosato Toscana

Rosato Toscana i.g.t.

The Rosè Toscana originates from the marriage of Syrah grapes must that underwent white-wine fermentation after a very quick maceration on the skins, blended with the must obtained by drawing off Sangiovese grapes destined for the production of Chianti Classico.
